Danny Trejo celebrated 55 years of being “clear and sober” this week.
The 79-year-old actor, recognized for his roles in Warmth, Con Air, From Nightfall Until Daybreak and lots of extra, took to Twitter to mirror on his sobriety journey.
“I’m 55 years clear and sober at present by the grace of God!” he wrote on Wednesday (August 23).
“I’ve accomplished this in the future at a time, and for anybody on the market struggling YOU CAN TOO!”

Trejo has been open about his habit struggles up to now, revealing that he was simply eight years outdated when he first tried marijuana, and 12 when he began consuming alcohol. He began utilizing heroin in his teenagers and went on to deal it too.
