FX & Hulu have unveiled a full-on, two-minute purple band trailer for Shōgun, created by writers Justin Marks & Rachel Kondo. A saga of struggle, ardour, and energy set in Feudal Japan. This seems to be so superior!! From James Clavell’s novel, FX’s Shōgun is about on the daybreak of a century-defining civil struggle. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is combating for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite towards him, when a mysterious European ship is present in a close-by fishing village. It follows John Blackthorne, a sailor who rises from outsider to samurai, whereas getting used as a pawn in Japanese chief Toranaga’s wrestle to achieve the highest. Hiroyuki Sanada stars as Yoshii Toranaga, co-starring with Cosmo Jarvis as Blackthorne, and an enormous ensemble: Tadanobu Asano, Anna Sawai, Yûki Kedôin, Eushin Lee, Tommy Bastow, Hiroto Kanai, Emi Kamito, Hiromoto Ida, Kengo Hashimoto, Sen Mars, Toshi Toda, Mako Fujimoto.
