Drive-Away Dolls is a road-trip comedy directed and written by Ethan Coen. Whereas the way forward for the Coen brothers future in filmmaking appeared unsure — the pair haven’t collaborated on a film collectively since 2018’s The Ballad of Buster Scruggs — every has begun making movies individually. Drive-Away Dolls is Ethan Coen’s first characteristic as a solo director. Apparently, he and his writing companion (and spouse) Tricia Cooke, wrote the movie over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic.
