Spamalot is returning to Broadway this fall within the first revival of the Tony-Award successful musical.
The manufacturing, which is transferring to Broadway after a Could run on the Kennedy Middle, will play the St. James Theatre beginning Oct. 31, with a gap night time scheduled for Nov. 16. The present initially ran on Broadway from 2005 to 2009, and gained three Tony Awards, together with finest musical.
The musical, which is tailored from the 1975 movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, contains a guide and lyrics by Eric Idle, a member of the Monty Python comedy group, and music by John Du Prez and Idle. That is the primary manufacturing from the Kennedy Middle’s Broadway Middle Stage sequence, headed by Jeffrey Finn, to switch to Broadway.
It’ll be part of a season of massive musical revivals, together with Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Alongside, starring Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Mendez, The Wiz, starring Wayne Brady and Cabaret, which has not but introduced casting.
