Set in New Zealand in 1864, the movie follows the story of an important battle of the nation’s first land warfare, fought between Maori and colonial troopers. The movie’s full title is Ka Whawhai Tonu – Battle With out Finish: the historic story of the battle of O-Rākau as informed for the primary time from the viewpoint of the indigenous folks of Aotearoa New Zealand, in their very own language Te Reo Māori. Set in Aotearoa New Zealand in 1864, it is the story of a pivotal battle within the first New Zealand land wars within the Waikato area.
