Oprah Winfrey has joined forces with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to help victims of the wildfires in Hawaii.
The 69-year-old TV star and Dwayne, 51, have established the Individuals’s Fund of Maui with $10 million of their very own cash, and so they’re now encouraging others to throw their help behind the hassle.
Oprah wrote on Instagram: “We’re honored to announce the Individuals’s Fund of Maui, a fund placing cash instantly within the pockets of those that had been affected by the latest wildfires. As we’ve seen firsthand, the impacts of those wildfires have been devastating, and we’re right here to make sure with one hundred pc assure that your donations will go instantly into the palms of Lahaina residents.
“Each grownup resident who lives within the affected space and was displaced by the wildfires in Lahaina and Kula is eligible to obtain $1200 per 30 days to assist them via this era of restoration. All you must do is go to PeoplesFundofMaui.org to use.

In July, US President Joe Biden expressed his sympathies for the folks of Hawaii, after wildfires brought on devastation within the state.
The president and his spouse Jill Biden stated in a press release: “Jill and I ship our deepest condolences to the households of those that misplaced family members within the wildfires in Maui, and our prayers are with those that have seen their houses, companies, and communities destroyed. We’re grateful to the courageous firefighters and first responders who proceed to run towards hazard, placing themselves in hurt’s solution to save lives.”
