Vertical has revealed the trailer for “American Dreamer,” the directorial debut of Paul Dektor which stars Peter Dinklage and Shirley Maclaine.
The movie relies on a real story from Chicago Public Radio’s “The American Life”. It follows Phil Loder (Dinklage), a twice divorced, pissed off, underpaid professor of economics with a grand dream of house possession that’s tragically out of attain.
When an unbelievable, once-in-a-lifetime alternative comes his method, Phil strikes a take care of Astrid Finnelli (MacLaine), a lonely, childless, near-death widow who affords her sprawling property for pennies.
However Phil rapidly learns the deal is just too good to be true and the American dream shouldn’t be fairly what it was. Theodore Melfi (“Hidden Figures,” “St. Vincent.”) penned the script.
Kim Quinn, Danny Pudi, Michelle Mylett, Danny Glover, and Matt Dillon co-star within the movie which debuts in choose theaters and VOD on March eighth.
